Race-Based Violence and Social Injustices

The OUCC staff join all of those saddened and grieving over the history of violent and egregious acts against communities of color, most recently exemplified by the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, 乔治•弗洛伊德, Breonna泰勒, 和更多的. We recognize the biases and prejudices ingrained within our society by way of systemic racism and pledge support for all of those impacted by these traumatic events. We pledge to do our own internal work around race, particularly those of White and European descent, to shine a light on those underlying biases and prejudices that have been internalized.
